Christmas for the children of soldiers in Ukraine is one that is filled with the longing and hope that your parent or family member will come home.
Last year, with the help of our donors, we provided Christmas to over 500 Children, 369 of them being the children of soldiers and the rest Orphans.
The soldiers loved this program so much they have asked for us to put it on again.
Christmas is coming fast and we need the worlds help to provide for over 1000 children of soldiers and hundreds of Orphans.
Each gift is selected based on age and gender, carefully wrapped with love and taken to the front along with a card and a box of chocolates for the care giver of the children.
From the front the soldier is able to sign the card and send them home.
This program is especially heartwarming when you hear the stories from the soldiers 1 year later.
If you have visited the frontlines, you understand there are no large retailers to purchase gifts and something as small as a gift sent home is keeping families together in a time where hope is fading.
In our lists are also children whose fathers and mothers have passed away before Christmas.
For roughly $40 a custom made teddy bear in a uniform and with their call sign will be purchased and sent to the Children from the battalion.
This is especially important to us all.
After the loss of a defender, families are often left with a hole that cannot be filled and there is separation from the military.
With this gift we hope to send a message to these families that they will always be part of a larger community and their loved one is not forgotten.

The suggested gift price is $50, however like last year, we will stretch every penny and provide meaningful gifts to as many children as we can within the acquired budget.
